Donald Trump: “The numbers were great. You know what I really love? I love the inflation.”

Connecticut Republicans proudly cheered Donald Trump’s reckless war when it first began.

Suddenly, with 4.2% inflation, they’re nowhere to be found.

As ordinary families across Connecticut are forced to worry about gas prices, energy costs, and inflation that just hit a three-year high because of their war, Ryan Fazio has proven once again that he will not say a single word that risks upsetting Donald Trump or the MAGA base. 

Fazio has now refused to make a single comment on the war for 15 weeks, even as some congressional Republicans have started openly criticizing Trump’s strategy.

As a reminder – Ryan Fazio has expressed his support for Trump multiple times, saying he “would love” Trump’s endorsement and that he has “a great deal of respect for his public service and his willingness to step up.” 

For a candidate who supposedly cares deeply about affordability and energy, Fazio is oddly uninterested in the conflict that has cost American households more than $100 billion in extra expenses and sent gas prices skyrocketing.

“The Connecticut GOP came out cheering for this war when Donald Trump wanted applause, but now that Connecticut families are being forced to live with the consequences, Ryan Fazio and his party have nothing to say. Fazio cannot credibly talk about energy and affordability while completely ignoring the massive mess his party created. Voters need leaders who will put their families ahead of Donald Trump’s ego, and that sure as hell isn’t Ryan Fazio.”
