Ryan's Last Minute Strategy Shift: Just Lie

Tonight at Mohegan Sun, Ryan Fazio remained committed to his only real, cohesive campaign strategy: lying extensively about what he believes and what he’s voted for. 

The War

Ryan again claimed that he has stood up to Donald Trump and has a history of opposing the Iran War. This, as Ryan knows, is a lie.

Earlier this week, we challenged Ryan to point to a single example of comments opposing the war before October of this year. He has remained silent, as he did for the first seven months of Trump’s war.

Child Care

WTNH asked Ryan whether he would cut funding from the Early Childhood Education endowment. He refused to tell voters.

Again, the facts are clear. Ryan voted against the endowment and called it a “slush fund.” Now, his new tax plan openly calls for cutting it entirely to try to paper over the huge gaps in his math.

ICE

Ryan claimed that his position on immigration is “to see law enforcement protect people’s civil liberties.” In reality, Ryan Fazio has voted to give ICE more power and Connecticut families fewer protections. 

Not only has Ryan refused to comment on multiple ICE abuses, but he has also fought to repeal the Trust Act. If he had his way, our communities would be even more vulnerable to lCE crackdowns.

He remained silent as your family paid the price for Trump’s reckless war in Iran. He was unashamed when he voted to make your healthcare more expensive. He was happy to praise ICE and vote to give them more power.

Spin and outright lies won’t make voters forget who Ryan is.”
