We must work toward energy independence through alternative sources of energy, including the development and incentivizing the equitable location of wind, solar, and other green technologies and developments while focusing on preserving and protecting prime farmland soils. We will address rate increases and return of investment guarantee for utility companies with the intention of putting affordability for ratepayers first. We also encourage the development of true public utility authorities, whether by expanding the model deployed in communities around the state or by a state authority that coordinates those efforts.
