Candidate Endorsements 2026
DocuSign
The convention Permanent Chair or Secretary starts the process and MUST supply the candidate’s name and email address in addition to their own.
After entering their own name and email, and the candidate’s name and email, the Convention Chair or Secretary indicates:
Democratic Party (in a pull down menu)
District and Office from a pull-down menu (know your district number!)
Type of meeting:
Multi-Towns are “Party Convention”
Single-Towns are “Town Committee Meeting or “Caucus”
(“the “Town Convention” option will never be used for Democratic endorsements)
Date of the Convention, meeting, or caucus
Location (building, facility, etc.) and Town (e.g. “Wheeler Library, Stonington”)
Their title (Chairperson or Secretary) and digital signature (click the button for SIGN
Then, the candidate checks email and opens an email titled “2026 Major and Minor Party Endorsement & Nomination Form” from SotS staffer Heather Augieri.
The candidate indicates:
Whether they were Endorsed or obtained the 15% delegate support in a multi-town district
Their name exactly as they want it to appear on the ballot. If a William prefers to appear on the ballot as “Bill” or someone wants to include a middle initial, etc., this is the place to get that right.
Their complete street address, including town
A digital signature
Repeat the process if there is a second (or third) candidate receiving 15% delegate support at a multi-town convention.
It is not valid until BOTH the Chair (or Secretary) AND the candidate have completed the signing process. The Chair or Secretary starts it, then the candidate gets an email and finishes.
