Taking our issues to young people is not an easy task. Young voters don’t watch much television, their cell phones are unlisted, and they rely largely upon the opinions of their peers gleaned from online services. It takes a concise message and a disciplined organization to get our important Democratic message out to this audience.

We have proven we know how to reach young voters. But, we need your help to get the Democratic message of change out to voters. Here’s what we plan to do in the coming months:

  • Increase the number of registered young democratic voters by at least 10% as compared to 2004.
  • Increase the turnout of registered young democrats by 20%.
  • Use the most up-to-date technology to reach young voters.
  • Increase our profile and public awareness politically and legislatively.
  • Increase our budget by 30%.
  • Increase our membership by 20%.
  • Strengthen and grow existing chapters.

Any gift today of $25, $50, $100 or even the maximum of $750 will help us accomplish these goals.

The Annual RFK Dinner- June
Each year in the month of June, the Connecticut Young Democrats gather together to remember the legacy of Robert F. Kennedy and celebrate the contributions of fellow Young Democrats as well as Connecticut legislators. Awards are presented to a male and female Young Democrat who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to strengthen the Young Democrats and to a non-“young democrat” who fights on behalf of Connecticut youth.
