The Connecticut Democratic Party is looking for energetic, hardworking, goal-oriented students to take part in our internship program. An internship with the Connecticut Democratic Party can present students perusing careers in politics and communications with excellent work experience and an exceptional networking structure. Currently we have several positions open:

Research Assistant Interns will be working both in our main office and in the field doing research and data collection around the state. Some prior computer experience is necessary. Qualified candidates will have their own transportation. We are looking for individuals who can provide professional, reliable and prompt services to our central staff. These individuals will be expected to develop relationships with registrars and town officials, effectively troubleshoot, prioritize, and multi-task. Gain critical campaign experience while developing a statewide network of contacts.

Office Assistant We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our team. This individual would interface directly with constituents and politicians to help maintain office functions. This person needs to be a high-energy, creative thinker who is flexible, independent as well as team-oriented.

Communications Assistant Support a full spectrum of marketing efforts, including direct mail, email, websites, alliance building, and creative "outside-the-box" initiatives. Will write and edit various materials including copy for print advertising, brochures, catalogs, websites, email, press releases, media pitches, case studies, and newsletters. Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary.
